Accessorizing your Crock Pot

Some convenient accessories...
I recently came across an interesting hub about the history of the Rival Crock Pot; This hub was written by a fellow hubber who goes by the name of Dreamscaper. His piece inspired me to go to the actual Crock Pot website (crockpot.com) and check it out for myself. After browsing around the site for a few minutes, I was surprised to see that there are so many accessories available for the Rival Crock Pot. I was thinking of asking Dreamscaper to write a hub on this fact, then I thought that it would make more sense for me to do the work myself, so here we go...
But you know, it wasn't just the choice of Rival crock pot accessories that surprised me: I never realized the actual variety of Crock Pots available today. In addition to the regular Crock Pot and the programmable Smart Pot, there is also something called the Double Dipper, which basically is a crock with a divided decorative crock liner, ideal for serving up some minor dishes or sauces. then you have the transportable / portable Crock Pot, complete with a fastenable lid for safer transport of your crock. A neat idea for those who often take their slow cooker masterpieces with them on the run.
Now accessories? There are quite a few.
One convenient item is the Mini-dipper. this little pot is basically a sauce heater, I guess, something that will keep a liquid/sauce at a the right temperature during the serving of the meal. It actually comes free with certain models of Crock Pot. Another accessory is the removable meat rack that comes in both around shape and an oval shape to fit most Crock Pots. They also seem to be available in different sizes as well.
I already mentioned the portable Crock Pot, well there is also something out there that nicely compliments that Crock: different sized travel cases are available for use with your prized slow cooker to keep it clean while on the go. As well there are some different dust covers available.
Something else that is available that I think is pretty cool is a selection of official Crock Pot brand heat-resistant silicone stainless steel cooking utensils. You can get forks, tongs, spoons, ladels and spatulas, all for use with your slow cooker.
Okay, even that might not have really surprised the real Crock Pot enthusiast too much, but ... did you know that there is even an official Crock Pot potpourri available for your Crock Pot slow cooker?
I kid you not. If you should so desire, there are a few different scent mixes available to buy: Orange Spice, Peach and Wildflower are all offered by Rival - at least through their website.
If you want to check this stuff out for yourself, go ahead and visit the Official Rival Crock Pot website by heading over to crockpot.com. (I'm sure you will find something of interest there)
